Trouble shooting
In case the gauge doesn't come up or does not show a stable reading for at least 10 seconds, the following checks should be made:
Check if the gauge is not faulty or gauge calibration is not off:
- If you open the release screw. The gauge-needle should drop to zero/E (within a few inches). If not, the little key in the set can be used for adjustments.
If correct check for leaks in the tube:
- Close the pressure relieve screw again and pinch the tube to the cistern shut. Pump the gauge to 100"
- If the needle is stable, with the line kinked or pinched (closed off) there must be a leak further down in the line.
If correct check for leaks in the gauge-system:
- If the needle still drops with the line pinched, there is a leak before the pinched part.
Then check for leaks (soapy water or by sound) again with a pressure (of approx. 70 - 100 ") applied.
- Also check the couplings and junctions, you might need to turn the enclosure over to reach the inner couplings.
If you have some silicone spray, take off the bulb (pull) and spray a little in the small black rubber valve that is seated in the metal pipe.
If you lack sillicone spray, you can also take the little valve out and dip it in a bit off (very) soapy water. Then put it back in and place back the bulb. Please let me know if you were able to solve the problem.

If, in all cases above, the gauge is just stuck at one depth, then the gauge itself is faulty. Please contact customer service.
